Dr. Kelly Patrick

Kelly Patrick is currently an Intervention Specialist and Research Associate at the University of Utah Reading Clinic, where she provides literacy-based trainings, consulting and support for schools and leads research projects on reading intervention. She is also involved in on-going development of instructional curricula and strategies to support struggling readers in all aspects of reading across tiers, including explicit instruction of academic vocabulary, word structures, and morphology. Kelly worked for 10 years as a Special Educator in the public and private K-12 settings, and also as an instructional coach for Canyons School District in Utah, where she facilitated implementation of data-based reading intervention across tiers.  Prior to this, she was also an adjunct professor with the Special Education programs at the University of Utah and Westminster College.
